Another Function of the Filter

Picture above is a picture of my cracked UV filter, which has made me realized another function of the filter.
This is the story,
Last Saturday, I was photographing in Central Park Mall, Jakarta, Indonesia.
I need a wide lens, so I took off my macro lens from my camera, and put it in my bag. At that time, my bag was full, so I couldn’t zip my bag. Because I thought my lens was safe enough, I continued photographing. Since I was too busy for photographing, I forgot that my macro lens was in a less secure position….
Because of my movements, my lens rolled out from my bag. I was shocked absurdly. I tried to keep calm and I did it. All my friends were panic. Calmly, I picked up my lens and shook it to make sure there is no damaged part. There was no strange sound, and I was a little bit calmer. But when I opened my lens cap, I was shocked more absurdly. My filter broke!!! But I could keep calm at that moment. My friends were more panic. I opened the filter to make sure that the lens was alright. Luckily, my lens was alright. My filter was broke, but my lens was alright. I still can use my lens now. the conclusion is:
My Filter Saved My Lens
I can’t imagine what would happen if my filter not attached in my lens. I’m glad this incident happened to my life. So I could tell you that your lens needs the filter. So if this incident happened to you, your filter could save your lens as my filter did to my lens.
This is the other picture of my broken filter:
And this is the picture that taken with a lens that attached with my broken filter:
Thank you for reading my story. Your lens needs the filter!
